Hancock County COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disasters) is a collaborative network of organizations based within Hancock County which work toward the mission of helping minimize the effects of a disaster. We will enhance the community’s ability to mitigate, prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, thus ensuring that human needs are met to provide a safe, sanitary and secure community.

The Hancock County Community Foundation is a nonprofit, public charity that promotes local philanthropy, convenes community initiatives, and supports nonprofit organizations. Simply put, we help people achieve their philanthropic dreams.

The Hancock County Food Pantry’s mission is to secure and distribute food to the needy in an effort to alleviate hunger in Hancock County. The Food Pantry secures food and non-food essentials through purchases and donations. We serve residents of Hancock County who meet government minimum income guidelines.

Hours of operations include:

Mon:  1:00-2:30pm & 5:30-6:30pm

Tues:  9:00-10:30am & 6:00-7:00pm

Wed:  7:00-8:00pm

Thurs:   7:00-8:00pm

Hancock County Senior Services is a not-for-profit service organization advocating for and addressing the life challenges of Hancock County seniors and providing transportation. Our services include: Public and Senior Transportation; Information and Referral; Homemaker Services; Respite/Assisted Care; Handyman; Legal Assistance; Volunteer Services; Legal Assistance; A AARP/Tax-Aide; Medicare Counseling; Durable Medical Equipment Loans; Nutrition Programs; and Volunteer Services.

The mission of the Hope House is to provide HOPE to the community by providing mentoring and empowerment to our clients to lead a more stable and productive life.

We are dedicated to putting this mission into action by providing a rich worship experience led by the Holy Spirit and through serving community with our time and resources.  We live out this: "What you do for the least of these, you do for Me."  We are moved to love by action such as:  visiting local nursing homes, helping local ministries, providing food for those who need help, giving to families in need, and many other activities.

Established in 2016, Healthy365 is a public health department of Hancock Regional Hospital, guided by the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), and focused on whole health and wellness of individuals who live, work, learn, play, and pray in Hancock County. Activities and community engagement address the most pressing health issues of our community.

The David Nolen Pantry of Hope is a community food pantry providing a reliable food source to anyone.

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children eat well and stay healthy.

Interlocal Community Action Program will design, sponsor and administer programs that provide help for today and hope for tomorrow. ICAP administers the federal Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers.

We are a non-profit organization ready to feed anyone that needs a meal. Caring volunteers prepare hot, nourishing and delicious meals for lunch (11:00am to 1:00pm) and dinner (5:00-7:00pm) M-F.
