The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal and philanthropic organization. We are dedicated to the promotion of educational, charitable, religious and social welfare works. We render mutual aid and assistance to our members and their families who are in need. We support a variety of organizations through donation and volunteers that includes, but is not limited to Safe Haven Baby Boxes, Kenneth Butler Soup Kitchen, Field of Honor, Gibault Children's Services, and Biking for Babies to name a few.

At Life Choices Care Center, no matter who you are or what your story is, our doors are open and our services are always free. We provide information on all of your options. You are not alone, we are here to help.  M, T, TH from 11am to 5pm.

Light & Grace Fortville is a peer support group for those experiencing mental health issues and their loved ones.

Love in the Name of Christ of Greater Hancock County is helping churches help people. We seek to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities. Our programs include a clearinghouse with referral services. GAP ministries provide need services which include handyman help, a Giving Nursery, wheelchair ramps, Furniture & Appliance Ministry, H2O Ministry (cleaning products and hygiene products), Medical Supplies Ministry and a New Beginning Kitchen Ministry. We also offer free Workshops and life skills training.

Meals on Wheels provides a daily delivered, medically tailored hot meals to senior citizens and homebound neighbors in Hancock County.  Office hours M-F 11am-5pm.

Schools are teaching a curriculum on hard skills (math, english, history, etc), but there is no course for "successful job navigation" skills. That's where Missing Skills University steps in.

The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation has a new district clothing bank called MV Cooperative Closet. The purpose of the MV Cooperative Closet is to maintain the schools' health rooms clothing supply while teaching students life skills. 

Providing youth recreational sports for the Mt Vernon school district. Provides monetary support for various school clubs and  school music programs.  Provides MVHS with essay and oratorical contests with scholarship rewards. Holds a Breakfast with Santa every year.

New Life Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational Bible believing church with a focus to Worship God, Disciple, Equip, and Send Believers, and Evangelize the World. In addition to Biblical teaching and Worship for children, youth, young adults, and adults we offer a Community Cares program to help those in our community and a Widows group. We also offer a day school for ages six weeks through before and after school care Monday through Friday.  We reach out to needy kids around the world through Operation Christmas Child.

Outfitters, Inc. is a Christian service that provides new and quality used, "in-style" clothing to low-income, school aged children, in Madison County - absolutely free of charge.
